Working week is 39 hours for salaried employees, and 41 hours for civil servants. BASt has set up a flexible working time system. Full-time employees can fit their working hours flexibly in the time from 6 am till 8 pm, provided they are present on-site during the core time from 9 am till 3 pm. In addition, there are numerous working time models for part-time employees. All employees have the option to compensate overtime hours through the so-called “compensatory time off".
