CDV - Centrum dopravniho vyzkumu (Transport Research Centre)

Transport Research Centre (CDV) is a state funded organisation. It was established in 1992 as the only research institute on transport issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport of Czech Republic. The main purpose of CDV is research and development in the nation-wide field of activity for all branches of transport and securing service activities for the Ministry of Transport.

CDV employs more than one hundred experts from various fields of transport. Institution solves research and development tasks, provides expert and advisory services for state and private customers and is also successfully involved in international scientific and research co-operation. CDV also helps to disseminate the research outputs and the newest knowledge among the transport public.

In relation to this project CDV provides research development, expertise and consulting services to:

  • Transport policy
  • Statistics informatics, GIS
  • Traffic safety of road, urban and public transport
  • Traffic and transport psychology and sociology with focus to driver abilities, behaviour, attitudes, training and education, traffic enforcement, telmatics devices usage
