Presentation of BASt projects

From 22 to 26 October 2018, the annual Council Meeting of the World Road Association PIARC took place in Yokohama, Japan. In the frame of the council’s conference-debate, Birgitta Worringen, Head of BMVI's Directorate Road Construction Polidy, Road Planning, Road Law, presented selected BASt research projects under the topic „Use of Innovative Technology for Road Maintenance in Germany“.
Namely the projects “Smart Bridge”, ASINVOS and “Street Probe” as well as the measurement vehicle MESAS – unique in Europe – were presented as successful case studies for innovative technologies for road maintenance in Germany. The international representatives of PIARC’s member countries were highly interested in BASt’s research activities.
