Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) is a practice-oriented, technical-scientific research institute of the Federal Ministry of Transport. It is dedicated to the diverse relationships between the street, the people and the environment.

We are part of the national and international research community. As an outstanding technical-scientific research institution with highly qualified employees in over 40 different subject areas, we have unique research facilities worldwide. We work on our own research projects, and we support projects that are carried out by external scientists. In addition, we are represented in many national and international bodies, which decide the future course of transport.

Major changes in traffic are forecast for the coming years: Increasing transport capacity, stronger traffic pollution, changing framework conditions due to the effects of climate change and demographic change. Science, industry and trade associations must face the future challenges together. Promoting young scientists is an essential component in this regard.

Please apply: Your creativity, your dedication and your knowledge are needed in order to find common solutions.
